I am neither Indigenous nor American but I need to say what a instant fan I became of Chaske when first saw the performance Jan (above) is speaking of. He seems to me (from the very little of his work which has made here), something rare - a true actor - who gives real portrayals of real human beings - nothing artificial or manufactured about him. His dedication and courage to pursue his craft has inspired me to finally start following my owns dreams (however bizarre and outrageous they may be).

I think he is one of those actors who will do great things. He is a clear, crisp actor whose eyes are deeply expressive and say it all. In the scene from episode 5 "Ghost Dance" of Into The West...he got hit by his brother and fell up against the wall...the last shot is a tear drops down from his eye...that's brilliant acting!
